Last month I was selling Millas Puffs (Brazilian Cheese Bread / Pão de Queijo) at a Smith Haven farmers market when an adorable couple approached my booth; the pair were dressed in medical scrubs and seemed eager to learn about my bread. The young woman asked if I was Brazillian and we got to talking which led to the discovery that she too was Brazillian and was born in Minas Gerais (the birthplace of Pão de Queijo!). I later explained how my product is an all natural version of the famous bread she knows and loves. Ana Carolina ended up purchasing a pouch of the cheese flavored cocktail sized puffs!
A few weeks later, I received a message from her that really touched my heart; Ana Carolina said, “I finally ate your Pão de Queijo. It is the best frozen cheese bread that i've ever had, Congratulations!". Responses like these are the reason I keep fighting to spread my products and culture. The reason I keep trying to let everyone know that small businesses like mine can make an impact on people's lives. This is just the start and I can't wait to see how much Milla’s Puffs can grow!
Starting this week, every other Friday I will be posting blogs on millaspuffs.com!
